Eight arrested in Saranac Lake drug bust

SARANAC LAKE — Resident complaints and ongoing police investigation led to eight drug arrests in the village here, with more possible.

Six men and two women were taken into custody Friday following a multi-agency law-enforcement crackdown on the sale and possession of drugs in the Village of Saranac Lake, Police Chief Bruce Nason said.

“The operation went very smoothly, very efficiently,” he said. “We worked very well with the agencies involved.”

EIGHT 

The following people were arrested in connection with the alleged possession and/or sale of controlled substances in the roundup:

Keeton C. Seaquist, 27, of Plattsburgh was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (Suboxone), both felonies.  He was taken to Franklin County Court for arraignment on an indictment warrant.

Ryan S. Morgan, 38, of Saranac Lake was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), both felonies. He was arraigned in Franklin County Court on an indictment warrant before being taken to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. Police said Morgan had about two grams of cocaine in his possession prior to his arrest.

Heth H. Graham, 51, of Saranac Lake was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), both felonies. He was arraigned in Franklin County Court on an indictment warrant before being taken to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $30,000 bond. Police said the search warrant executed at his home turned up about 3 1/2 ounces of cocaine.

Francis J. Odell, 41, of Saranac Lake was charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (Oxycontin), fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance (methadone), two counts of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of fourth-degree conspiracy, all felonies. He was sent to County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
