Awards received 

CHAZY — Joy Vanleuvan, the dealer principal at Riley Ford in Chazy, was recently awarded Ford Motor Company’s Employee Excellence Award for achieving Level 3 in the program.

Also receiving Employee Excellence Awards for achieving Level 3 were Tony Roberts, sales manager at Riley; <\Bz14>Cory Bushey, business manager; and <\Bz14>Jon Gauthier, parts manager. Gauthier finished first among all parts managers in Ford’s Boston Region.

In order to receive these awards, Ford delearship employees must excel and exceed Ford Motor Company’s expectations in customer service and satisfaction.

Young Professionals event is Aug. 29

PLATTSBURGH — The Adirondack Young Professionals (ADK YP), a nonprofit organization focusing on attracting and retaining young professionals in the area, will be hosting their annual volleyball event on Thursday, Aug. 29, at the Cabana Beach Bar in Plattsburgh from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

There will be a cash bar and light snacks provided by Smooth Moves.

There is a $5 admission charge for non-members; members of ADKYP may attend for free.

Participants are invited to come down and share a drink with other young professionals and learn more about what the ADKYP can do.

Appointment announced

WILLSBORO — Teresa Sayward of Willsboro has been appointed to the Boards of Directors of Champlain National Bank and its holding company, Champlain Bank Corp., according to Peter S. Paine Jr., board chairman. 

“I am delighted to welcome Teresa Sayward to the boards of Champlain National Bank and its parent company,” Paine said. “Her many years of commendable public service to the North Country and her commitment to the importance of community banking will enrich and strengthen our institution in the years ahead.”
