The book also talks about tree care and safety.

Muskie story told in new book
OGDENSBURG — The mysterious fish called the muskellunge or muskie is the topic of Matthew Curatolo's book "Empire State Muskies."

Printed by PublishAmerica, the book includes accounts from a number of muskie guides and anglers from across New York State on why they choose to target the fish that's often called the fish of a thousand or even 10,000 casts.

Features are Lake Champlain, and the Chazy River, where thousands of muskies are stocked by the Department of Environmental Conservation in order to try to boost numbers there.

Curatolo, an outdoor writer and newspaper reporter from Ogdensburg, has been writing about muskies for years, talking to anglers, guides and biologists.

His articles have appeared in such publications as New York Outdoor News, New York Game & Fish, Musky Hunter Magazine, Esox Angler, Fur-Fish-Game, The Conservationist, and Outdoor Life.

"Empire State Muskies" at PublishAmerica's online store at www.publishamerica.com for $14.95.
