Alzheimer's Walk. Noon registration, walk 1 p.m., Plattsburgh State Field House. Live performance by the Natalie Ward Band. Any individual raising $500 or more will be entered to win the grand prize of two round-trip tickets to Florida on Allegiant Air. Walk sponsored by Plattsburgh State students.
Children's Halloween Party. Noon to 2 p.m., American Legion Post 1619, West Plattsburgh. Free. Hot dogs, juice, cookies. Games and prizes. For kids 13 and under.
Clinton County Firefighters' Haunted House. Former Lake City Skate arena, Sharron Avenue, City of Plattsburgh. 2 to 6 p.m., $4 per person. May be too scary for some younger children. Coordinated by Morrisonville, District No. 3, Rescue Hose 5, Beekmantown, Cumberland Head, Altona, Keeseville and West Chazy firefighters. Proceeds will fund local elementary-school fire-prevention programs.
Brian Mehan Memorial Goblin Bowl. 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Plattsburgh High School. Tickets: $3. PHS and Stafford Middle School faculty and staff face off to raise money for a family in need that has been touched by cancer. Sponsored by the PHS Mentor Club and held in memory of Brian Mehan, a graduate who died of cancer.
12th-annual benefit Wine Tasting. 2 p.m., Irises, Plattsburgh. To benefit Hannah's Hope. Fifty wines to sample with hors d'oeuvres. Tickets available by phone (566-7000) or at Irises for $29 each for food and wine tasting, $10 for food tasting only. Only 120 tickets available.
Public skating. 2 to 4 p.m., Rouses Point Civic Center. Admission: $2.
Ticonderoga Historical Society's Agriculture Storytelling session. 2 p.m., Hancock House, Ticonderoga. Local storytellers will focus on crop, dairy, and small and large animal farming and will include horse racing. The audience is invited to participate by sharing stories and bringing along old photographs.
Roast-turkey dinner. 1 p.m., Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Mineville. $5 per person plus tip. Sponsored by the Town of Moriah Senior Citizens Club.
Pork dinner. All you can eat. 4 to 6:30 p.m., Lyon Mountain American Legion Home. Adults, $8; under 12, $4; under 5, free.
Spaghetti dinner. 4 to 8 p.m., American Legion Post 20, Quarry Road, Plattsburgh. $8.50 per person; children, $4.50; 4 and under, free. Takeout available. To benefit Nexus, a local autism program. Plus 50/50, raffles, music.
Dannemora Democrat Party fundraiser spaghetti dinner. 5 p.m., QWL Building, off 374, Dannemora. Ages 12 and older, $7; under 12, $4. Chinese auction.
50th-annual Beekmantown Democratic roast-beef dinner. 6 p.m., Veterans of Foreign Wars, Spellman Road. $10. Auction, 50/50, Virginia P. Noonan Democrat of the Year Award, Bill Owens for Congress expected to speak.
