Melissa Mowry, daughter of Kurt Mowry of Chazy and Cindy Wood of Morrisonville, has earned a spot on the dean's list at Plattsburgh State. Mowry majored in psychology and will enter the business program at the College of St. Rose at Albany in September. She is a 2006 graduate of Saranac Central High School.

Sara E. Merrihew of Tupper Lake is one of six outstanding St. Lawrence University students to be selected as summer admissions interns, with multiple opportunities to take part in the recruitment process for future students. She is a member of the Class of 2008 at St. Lawrence, and a graduate of Tupper Lake High School.

Merrihew is a psychology major and a member of Kappa Delta Sigma Sorority. She volunteers with children in the local community, is an admissions tour guide and has been a student orientation leader.

The following students have been selected for inclusion on the dean's list for the spring semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton: Tristan L. Baldwin of Chateaugay, Erin Griffin of Redford, Kristen R. Henry of Chazy, Chloe A. LaFrance of Lewis, Allison R. Morrow of Morrisonville, Valerie E. Nelkin of Peru, Michael E. O'Connor of Rouses Point, Erin L. Rasco of Cadyville and Kimberly M. Senecal of Peru.

Dominique LaPierre of Mooers has graduated from Plattsburgh State, cum laude, with a degree in secondary education, concentration in social studies and minor in geography. LaPierre is a member of Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society. She is the daughter of Thomas and Betty LaPierre and a graduate of NCCS. She plans to attend graduate school at Plattsburgh State.

Kenna Luguri and Ryan McGinn, both of Plattsburgh, have been named to the dean's list at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Luguri is a senior majoring in communications and McGinn is a junior majoring in finance.

Law Enforcement Officers Union Council 82 of Albany has announced that Heather Bailey of Plattsburgh High School is this year's recipient of the Nick Pinto Memorial Scholarship Award from the John F. Finn Memorial Scholarship Program for $1,000. Her father, Stewart Bailey, is a member of Council 82 Local 812 as a member of the Plattsburgh City Police Department.

Adam W. Trombly, son of Thomas and Diane Trombly of Chazy, has been named to the dean's list for his final quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology. The 2002 Chazy Central Rural High School graduated has earned a civil engineering degree.

Eric Dietz of Plattsburgh has received a bachelor of science composite materials engineering degree, magna cum laude, at Winona State University in Winona, Minn., where he was named to the dean's list.

The following students have been named to the dean's list at SUNY Geneseo for the spring semester: Anissa Moore of Malone, Amanda Lucas of Peru, Kevin Vannostrand of Saranac and Laura Kraft of Saranac Lake.

Ian Stanton, a senior at St. Michael's College majoring in chemistry and minoring in physics, will receive a full tuition scholarship and a living-expenses stipend including health insurance while he pursues a doctorate in inorganic physical chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He is the son of Harold and Mary Ellen Stanton of Plattsburgh.

Chance St. Germain, a political science student at SUNY Potsdam and a 2006 graduate of Northern Adirondack Central, was named to the dean's list of excelling students for the fall 2006 and spring 2007 semesters. He is the son of Kevin and Mary Jo St. Germain of Chateaugay Lake.

The following students have been named to the president's list at SUNY Canton: Christopher Mesick of Chazy, Nicholas Damour of Churubusco, Erin Tulip of Constable, Karrie Lanctot, John Shea and Julie Vanderwiel of Malone, Tristan McDonald of Moira, Danny Trombley of Mooers Forks, Lee Case of Peru, Brendan Carey of Plattsburgh, Zachary Fitzgerald and Ashley Farmer of St. Regis Falls, Matthew Sanford of Tupper Lake, Barbara Talley of Vermontville and Amie Bigelow of Willsboro.

Dean's list students are: Curtis Poupore of Altona, Derrick Degon of Burke, Gerardo Jurado of Chateaugay, Jason Burris of Crown Point, Kyle Tuper and Amanda Ellsworth of Fort Covington, Joshua Trombley, Corey Hughes and Shawn Smithson of Keeseville, Ian Vanier, Jordan Molnar and Adam Moore of Malone, Christopher Sarsfield and Duane Butterfield of Nicholville, Garrett Mastic and Justin Reynolds of Peru, Ryan Bennett and Kimberley Sorrell of Plattsburgh, Brittany Arcadi of St. Regis Falls, Jessica Stinson and Christopher Zalenski of Saranac Lake, Ayla Decarr of St. Regis Falls, Alex McNamara and Luke Barber of Tupper Lake, Laura Stender of Vermontville, Lyssa Nichols of West Chazy.

The following students are graduates for spring 2007 at the State University of New York College of Technology at Delhi: Sarah Ann Bordeau of Plattsburgh, with an A.A.S. in architectural technology; Shara M. Brown of Saranac, with a B.B.A. in travel and tourism; and Christopher Aaron Winkler of Plattsburgh, with an A.A.S. in culinary arts. Shara M. Brown made the High Honors List while attending SUNY Delhi. Alex James Dillenberger of AuSable Forks qualified for the Honors List at SUNY Delhi.
