The camps run one week each beginning July 6 and continuing through Aug. 18. Each week has a special theme, and this year, a full-day camp has been added.
Half-day camps are $85 per week (including supplies and tuition) and run from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 4 p.m. Full-day camps are $175 per week (including supplies and tuition) and run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Reading Club to meet Tuesdays CHAMPLAIN — The Champlain Memorial Library Summer Reading Club will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. beginning July 7 at the library, 148 Elm St.
Readers through grade seven are invited to take part. Call 298-8620 to register.
Storytime continues in July PLATTSBURGH — Wednesday Pajama Storytime for Kids! at Plattsburgh Public Library is 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays in July.
Families with children ages 2 through 7 are welcome to attend. Children are invited to wear pajamas and bring their favorite stuffed animal.
Free movies for kids PLATTSBURGH — Regal Entertainment Group's Free Family Film Festival runs through Aug. 26 at Regal Champlain Centre Cinemas 8, Champlain Centre Mall.
A selection of G- and PG-rated movies are shown at 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays to entertain local children while they're out of school for the summer. Admission is free, with seating limited to auditorium capacity.
Special kid's combo snacks will be available.
The Free Family Film Festival is a project of Regal Entertainment Group, the Cartoon Network and the following local sponsors: Reality Check, Champlain Centres, WIRY Radio, Y106.3 Radio and the Press-Republican.
Arts center to host kids shows LAKE PLACID — The Lake Placid Center for the Arts is hosting the Mirror Lake Inn Free Young & Fun Arts Series this summer.
The shows, which take place in the arts center theater and are free except for the one scheduled for July 31, run select Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Seating is first come, first served. No reservations are accepted.
The shows are: July 8, comedy and magic with Tim Dumas; July 15, Lake Placid Sinfonietta family friendly concert; July 22, Behind The Scenes with Rebecca Kelly Ballet; July 29, Adirondack singer/songwriter Roy Hurd; July 31, Rebecca Kelly Ballet's ONSTAGE Performance. Tickets are $10 at the door only, with children under 8 free; Aug. 5, Green Up! with Dan Duggan (interactive songs and stories on endangered species, recycling and protecting the environment); Aug. 12, Pendragon Theatre presents "The Wizard Of Oz"; and Aug. 26, fifth-annual Salute to Arts Day celebration.

Trip planned to Great Escape PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh is sponsoring a family trip to The Great Escape in Lake George July 25.
The town will provide a school bus for transportation to the park, with departure from the Town of Plattsburgh Offices on Banker Road at 8 a.m. sharp, a press release said. The bus will leave The Great Escape at 6 p.m.
The trip is open to families who reside within the Town of Plattsburgh. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tickets are $35 per person, which includes transportation to and from the park, admission and lunch. Ticket fees will be due at time of registration, which, with pre-payment, is mandatory by Friday, July 10. Register at the Recreation Office between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Family Game Nights planned BLUE MOUNTAIN LAKE — Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts will host Family Game Nights from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays in July and August.
Offered will be board games, ping-pong, pool, Wii Mario Cart, Sports or Rock Band and more. There will also be activities for younger children and refreshments will be available, a press release said. Admission is $2 or free for members of the arts center.
"Rainy Day/Any Day" art projects are available for $5 each any time the arts center is open, a press release said. Projects include materials and directions for family-friendly activities and include color mixing, acrylic paints, watercolors, making a journal and construction-paper art.

Kite Day slated for July 11 PLATTSBURGH — The Town of Plattsburgh Recreation Department is sponsoring Kites in the Park at Cumberland Head Park from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 11.
Families who live within the town are invited to take part; the first 30 children will receive a free kite.
Sign-up is not required, but for more information, call the Recreation Department at 562-6860.
