PLATTSBURGH -- Best-selling author Mark Kurlansky will give two talks at Plattsburgh State.
The talk today will be "1968, Nonviolence and the Movement to End War," and Friday's talk will be "Nonviolence: 25 Lessons from the History of a Dangerous Idea."
Both lectures are free and will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Krinovitz Recital Hall in Hawkins Hall.
Town of AuSable seeking residents' input
AUSABLE -- As part of its effort to plan for the town's future, the Town of AuSable is sending out a survey to all households in the town.
The Town Council asks that town residents complete and return the survey no later than April 15.
When the survey results are compiled, the committee that is drafting the Comprehensive Plan will have clear information about the residents' wishes for future growth and development.
Last May, the town hosted a vision workshop, and those results will be combined with the survey to increase public involvement and voice.
When the plan is drafted, another public meeting will be held to present goals and objectives for community response.
